“ We came here on a sunny but cool weekday so it was quiet here. We ordered inside the restaurant. The BC lobster roll isn't cheap but is delicious & bursting with lobster! The fish & chips isn't your ordinary kind. The fish is lightly fried (almost like a tempura) and fries are flavored to be tasty on their own. The coleslaw was also prepared with care (not just some veg tossed to the side) & was refreshing next to the fried foods. Would visit again! ”

“ Popina Canteen is my wife's favorite taco spot in all of Vancouver. We come to Granville Island with Popina Canteen in mind. My wife orders through the menu and never had one bad taco. Her preference is for the beef ones, which I concur. The flavors are always popping, and sauces are not relied on to get there. There are 2 locations with one inside a small building and one outside by the waters. The one outside offers sandwiches and fries. The Lobster Roll is amazing, and the fries are dusted with a wonderful seasoning that makes me keep eating them. ”

“ We went just for the ice cream, and were not disappointed! They had a fun variety of toppings/additives that they put into their house made vanilla soft serve. The soft serve itself is really creamy and not overly sweet, so it lends itself well to all the toppings. The workers and signage around warns of seagulls who are also fond of the ice cream, so we were lucky and aware enough to avoid an attack ”

“ I got the barista since coffee and ice-cream is always a great combination. While the ice-cream itself was yummy, the cream puff was a little lacking in both flavor and texture. Others in line were ordering sandwiches so maybe that might be better. In any case, glad I tried. The portion was massive. P.S. A seagull very nearly bit off my cream puff but I fought it off. Another customer was not so fortunate and lost her cream puff. Ice-cream eater, beware. ”

“ Review for the cream puff soft serve ice cream! Couldn't decide between the Barista (espresso and turbinado sugar crumb and Ecuadorian cocoa), Turkish Delight (pistachio crumb and saffron syrup) the Old Fashioned (house made sea salt caramel and toasted almonds). I really appreciated the cashiers honesty in describing which one I should get. I wanted one that wasn't too sweet. I chose the old fashion a great in between sweetness. For the price and the size there could of been a bit more. Took off a few points for that. But will be back to try the other two flavors I was contemplating about! As well to try the food menu. ”

“ We tried the lobster roll. It came out quite quickly after we ordered. It was fresh and had a nice herby flavour. It made me feel like I had tasted something similar made with seafood somewhere else in the world. I took off some stars due to the pricing and value for money for the size you get. Appreciated the heaters inside, kept us warm while we waited and ate. ”
